I absolutely adore shooting in the Aspen Room in Lee’s Summit, MO. The owners and staff are some of the most wonderful people I’ve had the opportunity to work with. They know how to make a wedding day run so smoothly and the charm of the space is unmatched. Add in a pretty spectacular and an awesome party and the day is guaranteed to be perfect.
I first met Alex in the same spot over a year ago. I was instantly drawn to Alex’s sweet disposition and practically begged her to let me be her wedding photographer. I adored working with her and Logan for their engagement photos and through the planning process. The wedding day came together so perfectly and it was so much fun to see her family come together to handle the set-up and decor for her. Their work paid off and it was stunning. Enjoy!
From our bride, Alex
Favorite Moment of the Day: Logan and I exchanging vows in front of all of our family and friends. That my new sister-in-law and her family came all the way from South Africa. My 88 year old Grandma surprised me and was there–she wasn’t sure if she would make it since they were coming from Pennsylvania.
Inspiration for the wedding: Logan and I’s favorite things: We love Mizzou and I love the Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey Team (hence the black and gold), plus I love nature and also the femininity of pinks and sparkles! All of those things helped inspire us!
Advice to brides planning in the future: Relax. Anything that goes wrong the day of doesn’t matter, it is your day and in the end you will be married! 🙂
A huge thank you to my second photographer Meagan Spencer.
