There is nothing quite like a country hometown wedding. You know the kind at that one church the amazing bride has been going to her entire life. The one’s where pretty much the entire town comes to. Yeah, that was Ashley and Josh’s stunning wedding day in Hiawatha, Kansas. Despite the rustic feel to the town, Ashley brought together an absolutely glamorous wedding! The ceremony incorporated all of the things that make these two so wonderful together. Ashley and Josh even drove away in dad’s 1950’s cherry red Bel Aire!
Her white draped reception complete with plenty of sparkle was the absolute party with plenty of home cooked food and a crowd unafraid to kick up their heels. Enjoy!
Special thanks to my second photographer, Jessica Martz.
Favorite Moment of the Day: I loved walking down the isle with my dad and seeing Josh. Driving away in the 55 Chevy was an awesome moment with Josh too… Oh! and the first dance-me and Josh taking it all in together, it was the best day!
Inspiration for the wedding: candlelight, elegance
Advice to brides planning in the future: Enjoy the whole process, the day goes by too fast so enjoy every moment, don’t stress-it’s a perfect day!
I am confident that every bride should look this happy the first time she sees herself in her wedding dress.
Since Ashley and Josh met in a grain science class they decided to have guests throw grain during their grand exit.
Ashley’s twin sister, Lindsay, just got married in March so it was extra special to see both newlyweds together.
