Joanna & Travis {The Station Kansas City Wedding Photography}

Like many of the modern dating era, Joanna and Travis met online.  The first time around wasn’t all they hoped for, but after they found themselves at a mutual friends wedding they decided to give it a second go.  And the second time stuck.  And stuck hard.  Their Kansas City wedding day was the perfect blend of their love for their close family and friends and their love of having a really great time together.  Enjoy!

From my bride, Joanna:

Favorite Moment of the Day: This question is way too hard for me because I absolutely loved it all!! I wish I could do it over and over. I loved getting ready with the girls, the beautiful first look with travis, skyline pictures and the actual wedding. I think if I had to pick one part it would be the ceremony. We wrote the whole thing and it was very us (even though I messed up) and I felt so incredibly proud to get to call Travis my husband!

Inspiration for the wedding: Well Travis picked the colors so it was clearly purple for K-State, and i wanted an elegant but rustic feel because we are both pretty laid back! It turned out absolutely perfect and how I envisioned it in my head! I was absolutely amazed by all our vendors, they made the day so so so smooth!! I have to give a major shout out to Dana Nigro at Village Gardner for making my visions come true and having gorgeous flowers/arrangements/centerpieces etc!

Advice to brides planning in the future: Just enjoy! Don’t sweat stuff! Put the energy into the things that are important to you and let the rest go….it will all be so much more fun that way!

A huge thank you to Katherine Ellison for second shooting with me!
