Kaylie {Urban Ballerina | Kansas City Portrait Photography}

I first met Kaylie at a bridal show.  She walked right up to my booth, held out her hand, and said “Hi! My name is Kaylie”.  At the moment I was kinda in awe.  Most people go out of their way to avoid talking to the vendors at a bridal show, but here was this lovely woman coming directly to me.  When I had the chance to sit down with her and her fiancé, Spencer, to discuss their incoming wedding, I realized not only is she incredibly sweet but she is a full fledged ballerina!!!  Right now she is a dancer with Storling Dance Theater in Olathe, Kansas and also teaches.  With auditions coming up this spring, she mentioned she needed some new head shots and action photos.  Hmmmm…. Gorgeous dancer, Kansas City skyline, and me with a camera…No Brainer!!  If there is anything I love photographing more than weddings it would have to be dancers!

Despite the Kansas City weathermen predicting gorgeous temperatures, the afternoon of our shoot was freezing.  A huge thanks to Phil Peterson for opening up his studio for us and saving us from freezing.   And another Thanks to Lori Ruff for coming along and assisting.

Now on to Kaylie!  Enjoy!
