All that Kim and Dan wanted for their wedding was a simple day filled with a little bit of sparkle and lots of real moments. Despite rain, backup plans, and the crazy realization that the day was finally here, they got exactly what they wanted. The day flew by in a rush of hugs, poses, and a really great time. Their ceremony at the Country Club Congregational United Church of Christ was heartfelt and classic. The Pavilion in Shawnee was a perfect setting for the fun reception filled with lots and lots of dancing. Enjoy!
Favorite Moment of the Day: My favorite moment was the first look and the all of the emotions of Dan and I seeing each other for the first time and realizing we were really getting married. Dan’s favorite moment was when I looked at him and told him that the day was perfect.
Inspiration for the wedding: Bling and lace with turquoise
Advice to brides planning in the future: Plan it the best you can up until the day before and then just let it all happen the day of. Try to remember to enjoy every moment of the day because it all passes by so fast.
Anything else you really don’t want me to forget:
1. Dan started off the day by dropping off a special delivery of my favorite donuts at the hotel the morning of the wedding.
2. The heart sewn on the inside of my dress was a piece of the lace and lining from the dress that my mom and grandmother wore. It is going to become a family tradition for all the girls in the family to wear a piece of their dress in their dress.
3. We loved our photographer! (I swear I didn’t tell her to say that)
