Matt & Jenny {Kansas City, MO Wedding Proposal}

When Matt first contacted me about shooting his upcoming proposal, I was super excited but incredibly nervous.  How can you capture a once in a lifetime moment without letting your subject know you are photographing them?  Lucky for me, Matt had everything worked out perfectly and even emailed me a map of their walking path to the exact spot where he was planning on proposing at the Nelson Atkins Museum in Kansas City.  The day came and we were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous December morning.  I tried to blend in as just another photographer taking photographs of the beautiful scenery (which after looking at the shots I did take while waiting, a landscape photographer I am not.  I really need people in front of my camera) when I noticed this adorable couple walking up the path of the sculpture garden.  Before either Jenny or I knew it, Matt was down on one knee asking her to be his wife.  Thank you both for letting me be a part of this special moment and Congratulations on the beginning of your prefect journey together.

    Haha, I am NOT a landscape photographer either. I don’t know why it takes such a special skill, but apparently it does. These are beautiful and I love how happy and excited she is. Perfect 🙂
