There is an old saying that you are never too old for fairy tales. Actually I have no idea if that is true. But if there was, and there should be one, it would absolutely be true of Melissa and Jason. When Melissa first contacted me about photographing her wedding she told me that this was her happily ever after. When I got to sit down and meet both her and Jason, I realized how true that statement really was. I don’t think that anyone could have asked for a more beautiful day to begin this happily ever after.
Melissa and Jason tied the knot at the gorgeous Liberty Christian Church. Built in 1905 and housing some of the most gorgeous stained glass windows, the Liberty Christian Church was the perfect place to start their marriage. Melissa was so in love with her custom wedding dress, handmade by the talented ladies at Wedding Bliss Bridal Salon, and picked the perfect veil and accessories to highlight her timeless look. After the ceremony, we had the pleasure of taking a limo ride to the Shoal Creek Country Club for the reception. No wedding of mine would be complete without the bride and groom having to tromp through some sort of field, but with the amazing setting sunlight and the last of the gorgeous fall colors, I am glad that we took the time to capture such classic formal pictures. The reception was lovely with Melissa’s vision coming to life in candle light and hurricane glass. The cake was made by a good friend and so many of the details were made possible by the family and friends so eager to see such a lovely couple wed. After dinner, cake cutting, and toasts, Melissa and Jason did a wonderful choreographed waltz complete with a perfect dip! And the night continued from there with dancing and laughter. I am so honored at the opportunity that I had to be a part of such a special and blessed beginning. Special thanks to Brent of Brent Gumminger Photography for coming along and helping me throughout the day! Congratulations Melissa and Jason and here’s to happily ever after. Enjoy!
