I love weddings. The rush of the day, the details, the moments, the love. But no matter how well we plan the day, no matter how closely we stick to our schedule, I never feel like I’ve had enough time with just the bride and groom and my camera. Enter the post-wedding session (also known as a trash-the-dress, one more day in a dress session, call it what you want). We get to go back out again and reshoot the formals we may have missed in locations that we couldn’t get to on the wedding day. One more chance to get dressed up, and another (more relaxed) opportunity for me to capture more or the formals hots we missed. Mollie and Kelly had an absolutely lovely Union Station Kansas City wedding. If you missed it, you can still see the amazingness here. Our portrait time at the actual Union Station got cut a bit short due to a missing trolley and the arrival of a mini rain storm. For our post-wedding session we revisited Union Station and Liberty Memorial to finish what we didn’t get to shoot on the actual wedding day. Mollie’s awesome sisters also brought their cute families along to grab some fall family shots. Enjoy!
