Booking a photographer can be a daunting task.  A lot of energy can be spent deciding not only the package to select but also the potential concern on how to develop a relationship with the photographer in such a short period of time and making sure everyone is on the same page.  I know this feeling, I’ve been there.  That is why I developed this breakdown of the process. By taking the unknown out of the booking process, you can focus your energy on getting ready for more important and fun things, and hopefully make this special time in your life more enjoyable.

Step 1

The Planning

As i’m sure you have come to realize A LOT goes into planning a wedding.  You are the manager, often times, of teams of vendors each pulling you this way and that.  It can be very stressful and frustrating.  As you are deciding your choice of photographer, realize I am here to make this process as easy for you as possible.  If there are questions or concerns about package options or timeline issues, I will work those out until you are comfortable and confident with the flow of your day.

Step 2

Get in Touch!

If you feel like we would be a good fit for your wedding and/or you’d like to get more info or ask a question, let me know!  You can also be old fashioned and give me a ring (I have my phone on me most of the time and is the quickest way to get in touch – Don’t worry I won’t bite 😉 ).

Step 3

Lets Meet!

I feel the best way to get to know each other is to actually meet (preferably over coffee – my treat!).  There we can further discuss the flow of events and the types of details that are important to you and your fiancé.  I will also get a feel for what is important to you and the style you’d like to portray on your day.  I feel this initial meeting is one of the most critical components for me to successfully capture your day in the way that you see it through your eyes.  As a huge proponent of printed works, I will also bring sample albums for you to peruse and enjoy.  These albums are gorgeous and crafted of the highest, archival quality to ensure a lifetime of enjoyment.

Step 4

The Booking, and Beyond!

If you decide we will be a good fit than you are welcome to put down a retainer to secure your date.  This allows me to completely block out the date and commit my services to you.  The retainer is a non-refundable $500 regardless of the package.  I do this incase you are still working out the details on which package you want, that way your date is secure if you are finalizing your decision.  At that point we can also begin the planning on your engagement, bridal, and rehearsal dinner sessions (*if included).

Some of the things I like to do before events begin are:

•  Contact and coordinate with some of your vendors (i.e. Your DJ, videographer).

•  Scout out great locations for your shoots.

•  I like the opportunity to meet you and your coordinator at your venue so we can discuss timelines, schedules, and location options.

•  Work with you on getting a shot list you would like so I can get all the images important to you.

•  BE YOUR FRIEND!  I am with you all the way and am there to support and help you make your day the day you’ve always dreamed of.  You can always call me or email me with questions or clarifications, also I have seen a wedding or two and can offer some great tips (or at least I think they are 😉 ).

Weddings are my passion, not just a job, and I put my heart and soul into every wedding.  I love seeing my clients have the best possible experience and the very best photography and art that represents them.  I would love to work with you, please do not hesitate to get in contact with me for any questions or to check on a date.  I look forward to getting to know you!
