I am always amazed at how life can bring two people together. Whether they have lived in the same town their entree lives and, despite crossing paths multiple times, don’t meet until the perfect moment (as in the case of me and my husband) or lived across the country from one another and somehow came together at again the perfect moment (as in the case of Ruth and Heath). Heath is a small town farm boy who’s career just happened to take him to Rehobeth Beach, Delaware at the same time that Ruth was living there for her job. Fast forward past time and way too many miles, and here they are together in Kansas City getting ready for their Oct. 2013 wedding. As is often the case with Kansas City’s unpredictable fall weather, our original session got rained out, but I am so happy that we were able to reschedule because the day, the light, the leaves, and combined with a sweet couple, could not have been more gorgeous! Shawnee Mission Park was the perfect backdrop for this Kansas City engagement session.
